About Me:

I have been working with Final Cut Pro for over 7 years since version 4. I am currently an Apple Certified Trainer for Final Cut Pro 7 and Motion 4.  I recently left my job working in live national broadcast television and I now work as a video editor for a web marketing company. I also do freelance video production, web development, and professional photography.

I registered the domain name FinalCutStudio.info on May 15, 2008 and started developing the site for the launch on July 4, 2008. The goal of this website is to provide information about Final Cut Studio and a method to allow the vast network of Final Cut Pro users to collaborate, correspond, and learn from eachother while also keeping up-to-date with eachothers current work projects and interests. I hope to accomplish this goal by developing a dynamic website that allows users to signup and login to create individual profiles that other users can browse and dynamically interact with. Visitors will be able to upload a demo reel to their profile and update their personal info, along with other features like sending internal messages and adding comments.

For video editing I use my trusty Apple 2.66ghz Mac Pro with 4 gig RAM, ATI 3870 512 RAM gfx card with accelero S1 version 2 gfx card cooler, dual 23" Apple Cinema Display, Final Cut Studio 3, OSX 10.6.3 Snow Leopard and  5x 2Tb Hard Drives. I got the cooler to minimize fan noise and maximize cooling for the gfx card.  I was able to install an additional HD in the empty optical drive bay by using an x-swing arm to hold the drive in place. Then I threaded a SATA cable from the available connection on the motherboard through the case to the optical drive bay. For web development I use Adobe CS5.
